The thought of a short ride to Budapest today for a much awaited hot shower and a warm bed,makes a better morning ride mood.Only 40 km , easy meat or sap sap shui -lah! Started at 9.05am ,11c very cold but not in spirit.Counting the big green km signboard : 40 ..... 30 .... 20 ....10....0 and here I am in Budapest! Time 11.45am ( 10.45 am Hungary is one hr late than Romania). Spent another hour or so slow ride looking for cheap accommodation. Budapest on a Sunday morning was rather quiet,less traffic on the roads and most office buildings banks were closed .Managed to saw 2 hostels in the city centrum ,not much different in prices for 3000Ft on a 4 beds shared room in a residential apartment with a self-service kitchen . not bad and valued for money but the internet charge was expensive for 500 Ft an hour.
