Look like Salzburg has to wait for another day! Just too many hills with too many great scenery as well especially the Traunsee ( lake) towns of Gmunden and Altmunster with the rocky mountain on the other side of the lake.Absolute beauty! Started at 8.45 am, the morning mist was no better than yesterday about 10m visibility, quick risky as I was riding without a rear red flash light having lost mine way back in Kazakhstan. But I must salute the Austrian drivers whether trucks or cars drivers for their respect to the road cyclists, their patience to slowdown at the back to let the oncoming traffic to pass first before overtaking,a respect rarely seen on Asian drivers well at least in Malaysia.Met heinz from Innsbruck who stopped his car at the roundabout while I was checking the direction with the map, to say hello and invited me to stay in his house in Innsbruck. I'd love to stay in an Austrian's house but that will be in a week#s time. Having difficulties in finding a campsite and sky is getting dark at 6.30pm.Desparately rode into a small side road leading to a farm house , saw a cowgirl with a cowboy hat and a man busy with the horse."Hello, where are you from?"she has a very friendly smile " I am from Malaysia" as I parked my bike at the side " Would you mind if I put up a night here with my tent?" " Yes, Of course!" What a relief for me as I was really tired , cold and hungry ......

"Everything you touched was ice cold" in the night & morning, but afternoon was sunny blue sky, in fact I was sweating on the climbs and had to remove my extra layer of clothing and head mask.Started at 10 am on a heavy misty morning,visibility abt 20m on a rather slow speed with extra cares,legs were heavy and feet were cold.They don't seem to like the cold weather either.The afternoon sun certainly helped to raise my speed. Decided to bypass Linz,going southward following Rd 1 to Amstetten and then Rd 122 to Sertenstetten,St Peter and Steyr.Not really a scenic road but was the shorter way to Salzburg.Camped by 6.30pm just before dark even though I missed that century mark by 3 km.Not an ideal campsite under high voltage cable and waist length grasses.Tomorrow expected to to see 2-3 lakes & some hills to climb.Not sure whether can reach Salzburg or not...

A beautiful ride today on a sunny blue sky weather. Started at 9 am at 9°c morning temp with my full gear on.Bought an Austrian map ( 9 euro) and follow Rd 44 all the way to St Poten , beautiful country road with a bit of rolling ups & downs . Surprised to see a Chinese restaurant in Boheimkirchen , had a quick buffet lunch for 8 euro ( eat all you can!) . Have to slow down with a very full stomach. Spending has increased as from now in euro. a bottle of 1.5litre of mineral h2o cost 1.6 euro ,a cup of coffee cost 1 euro. Today spent 42 euro and so wild camping to save cost but had to bear the cold at night. The temp has dropped to 6°c inside my tent now. Not cooking dinner cos' still not so hungry.I'll stuck myself in the sleeping bag as soon as I finish the write-up.Tomorrow expected to be in Linz but still considering whether to stay in Linz or bypass for another wild camp.
