Hello Meng,
I've been following your inspiring trip since you started in Beijing with Heather (also on crazyguyonabike) and love reading about your experiences.
We (my husband and I) live in Munich. I doubt if your route to Paris will take you through Munich, you will probably stay on the Danube bike path, but if it does, you are very welcome to with us on your way through.

Best wishes,
Suzanne

Hi Meng,
Sorry to hear that you tummy is not in peak condition since Bratislava, to enjoy Vienna. Sincerely hope all's well by now. Your pics sure brings back good memories for me. I would be eagerly looking forward to your posting on Linz and Salsburg.
The weather is certainly getting cold fast so warm-up yourself well. Keep out of the rain to avoid the chills.

Happy pedalling and cheerio....

Hello Meng and Meng followers,

Last evening Meng arrived at our farm. He was cycling slowly uphill and pulled into our street as we were working with the horses. He asked about camping, and I told him to camp here behind a large machine house for farm equipment that is weather protected.

In the morning he came into the farmhouse to get out of the cold, and I gave him Chinese tea and a soup to warm him up. We are in the lake district of Austria with a view of the lake Traunsee. In the night the temps got cold and it rained. Today the rain stopped and Meng is on his way to Attersee. I also gave him some warm gloves to take with him. From Attersee he is headed to Salzburg.

Best wishes Meng from Karen and the Curly Horses. You can visit my website at:

Hello Meng followers,

I hope Meng is doing ok, and will look for his update here. I did not know about him before. It is very cold now, and this morning it snowed a little. There is snow in the mountains. Meng told me he wanted to go to Innsbruck and then through the valley to Switzerland. I told him there are big mountain passes he must go through to get there and he might have problems with snow in the mountain passes. He said he may divert through Germany (Munich?). He has contacts in Innsbruck who have invited him to visit. I hope he makes it ok.

Karen and the Curly Horses

PS. You are all welcome, I am glad to have been able to help a little bit. I would have invited him to stay longer, but if he really wants to make Paris, then he has to be very fast now as the snows are here. He would have easily lost 4-5 days staying here.

Brater Meng,
We have been following your blog for months and are really pleased that there are many nice people out there who are willing to give you a helping hands esp. Karen & the Curly Horses and Suzanne. From the advice, it seem you might need a lot more catching up to do to reach Paris. TTKs have also been very supportive all the way as you can see many of their comments here. Thumbs Up !!! Keep Going Meng Boleh!!! WWW

Dear Meng, nice to read all this support comments as you are close to reach your goal. But i am little woried about your plan to go thru Insbrick,Luzzern etc.,cause wheather now wont be your best friend. This regions are beautiful also on winter, but not on bike,So i warmly suggest you to go either North thru Germany or South thru Italy and Monaco.I am from Slovenia and i now all this roads and it can be prety much of snow end of October.Be good and all the best!

Thanks Suzanne, Look like I had to changed my plan to go to Munich instead of going to Innsbruck & Swizerland in view of the early snow. How to contact you if I am in Munich?
