A 100km finally! As I flipped thru my previous write-up,it was on Oct 22 ( Salzburg to River Inn Camp in Wasserburg). To do a 100km has never been easy here, you can't start early at 7 or 8 in the morning as it was still dark and often with thick mist, and the sun set early by 6 pm. Usually by 4 -5 pm I had to start looking for campsite. Started at 10 am ,was delay an hour by thick mist, the first 40 km to Sommersous and Sezanne on N4 was rather easy on flat down hill, then it was uphill rolling on the Routes de Champagne of Barbonne-Feyel and Villenauve la-Grande on D951, where lots of vineyards can be seen growing on the hill slopes. The road continued on D7- and D236 . By 5.30 pm after Provins, decided to camp near to the Parking rest area . Paris is just another 75 km! Have to start early ( if weather ok). Tomorrow should be THERE!!!!!!!!

Today I noted your comment on arriving in Paris. Congratulations on a wonderful & skillful ride.
So today I - like many others - have toasted your success with the finest (Australian) red wine I could afford in honour of your achievement and to the role Heather (thus the 'red') played in your team effort for the first part of the expedition.
This has been a fantastic effort & a great adventure.

Neville, thanks . How i wish Heather and Ulla were there on top of the Eiffel. We started together in Beijing but left me alone in Paris.

Hi Meng,
Congratulations to you on achieving another century km/day. At age 51 that is something to be proud off.
