free food, eh. that reminds me of recent tour in sabah. the folks there are amazingly hospitable. we were cycling by this kg where a malay wedding was taking place. the host stopped us & insisted we come in hv some food. than they invited us in & took group pictures at the 'pelamin' (dais) with the ladies in our glorified tight shorts & all - unbelievable! btw, to get yr free food, you were not in yr glorified tights, too ah??

Yes, this is the type of photos I am looking for or the readers are looking for.You mix around with local people, their way of life. The railway track between the back of two rows of houses is really an eye-opener to many Malaysians as well as mat sallehs. Tourists on package tour may not see all these. As winner of some essay writing contests and as an amateur cyclist,I am willing to help you write a book regarding this adventure absolutely free of charge. The adventure is not child play and to prove to the world not only mat sallehs can do, Malaysians also can achieve that. The most important thing is take lots of pictures even if you have to dismount from your recumbent halfway cycling for that special photos. For book like this to sell, photos speak better than words. I will take care of the caption for each photo.

Meng,

You good ah...i've been to Vietnam couple of times and so far no free foods la....

You must have started yr conversations with the cute " char boh " , right.

Keep up the good works, its nice you mixed around with the local.

Beware though, the local costumes they are wearing ( Aw Zai ) can distract a little on yr mission.

Dont stray away and concentrate on yr dreams trip, yah.....
