Mr Meng, you are one awesome man!
I do a lot of bike touring but nothing to match your incredible journey. Your blog is an icon of how it should be done, with wonderful photographs.
Tell me when you're going to circumnavigate Malaya, Sabah and Sarawak, and I'll come with you. Or maybe you fancy a lap of NZ.
Best regards,
Ed Austin - Auckland

Hello Meng,
I loved reading about your adventure. I have been in al the countries you were from Kazaksthan to Paris. We even took pictures at the same places.
I ride a recumbent aswel. Thinking about laeving spring 2008 from the Netherlands towards china.
I was several times in Malaysia. Love Frasers Hill very much. Next time, when I am in Malasia I will look out for a recumbent. It will be you. We will say hello.
Keep in good shape.
Greetings Martien.

You sure you didn't see wrong - seventy pounds for a duck is crazy! One of the more expensive foods I have ever seen...

I did consider for a moment of coming up to KL for your return to Malaysia then Mulu for some more caving (I really want to go back there!) then realised I can not; 1. I have no money and 2. I need to get a job (I need some engineering experience before uni lets me graduate). Hopefully I will have another opprotunity to come up and visit you and Terence again.

Hello Meng!

I was away for a while and just now am back online! I am so happy you made it fine to England and what a wonderful tour you have made. I enjoyed very much following your story, even catching up on your story, after your visit here to our farm. We are so honored to have been a part of your adventure, and we wish you all the best in any and all adventures that you undertake in the future. Maybe someday you will be again in Austria and can visit us when you can have more time to relax. I hope some day to be able to visit Malaysia, and would love to be able to visit the famous Meng Boleh! :)

all our best,
Karen and Erwin and the Curly Horses

Brater Meng,
Glad that you would be back to where you belong, the Meng Boleh Land. TTK is finalising the detailing activities to welcome you at KLIA. We would be there to cheer and salute you, but most importantly be there for you after a long while we have not met. Warmest Regards Always.

I'm actually looking for a job in Australia - I think it will be quite difficult to find a chemical engineering job in Hong Kong... How about you, what plans do you have after your return to Malaysia? But you are retired right? No need to worry about working, just relax all day...

Meng, you are a hero! What awesome determination and strength of mind. Nothing is impossible for you. I am so proud of you. Most of all, i am happy you are safe and sound. I can't imagine what a high you must have felt-- when you arrived in Paris, when you arrived at Charing Cross and finally at your sister's doorstep. I reckon the feeling is something like trekking for a few days, getting lost and tired, through rainstorm and night treks and finally emerging out of the jungle?? After this high, the adrenalin would plummet and don't be too worried if you do feel depressed, it will pass. I was on a 3 week holiday in Australia when you finished your journey and i look forward to welcoming you when i return from Laos. Well done!!

By the way, I bought a Brompton (made in England) foldable bike while I was in Melbourne.

I don't think there are Brompton cycling clubs yet here but if any Brompton owners happen to be in Malaysia, do look me up--

I'll gladly give you a personal tour of Kuala Lumpur city.
