Our guesthouse room in Pejiang Hai
A very small room for us and also the bikes.Hard times to go vv
Typical guesthouse toilet . Heather recognised by looking the word with "cross legs"

Today's Distance: 100 km
Average Speed: 12.8 max: 47.5
Time on Bike: 7 hr 47 min
Ave climb: 2% max: 9%
Trip altitude: 723 m max: 1508 m
Today's spending: 15 rmb
Total Distance to date: 1103 km
Total spending to date: 1245 rmb

Celebration for me and Heather as both hit 100km for the 1st time despite of the strong and nasty headwind that we faced for nearly the entire distance.Started at 8.20am and finishes at 6.20pm.Except for the wind ,the temp was perfact at 20C for cycling. Moreover there is not much scenery as both sides of road is desert without trees but bushes living on sand, traffic is less and trucks almost missing, only express buses and some expensive Japanese cars were seen.Lunch at a "Qing Chen" or Muslim restaurant in Hanging Qi .I like the special tea they served, taste very different from the normal. By 6.30pm,no guesthouse in sight and we are real tired. Had to be thick skin to ask for a place to camp. sucessful at 1st attempt when I spotted a nice house more like a village head with a flag pole in front flying a 5 red star China flag. At the backyard the owner have abt 50-60 goats and a beautiful sunset at the background.
