My actual riding distance hit 10000km today! 2/3 of the journey completed and another 5000km to go. Except for that unexpected crack rear rim , a replacement for the worn out crank bracket and front brake pads , so far the bike has been excellent and passed all the tests with flying colours. For those still have doubts of shifting from conventional upright to recumbent, here is my personal advice - GO FOR IT ! RIDE IT ! and YOU'LL LOVE IT ! Today,s ride I decided to go inland and this road will bring me all the way Istanbul. Had to give Zonguldak - the coastal big town a miss. Since entering Turkey via Trabzon, I had been following the coastal road of Black Sea. I am pretty sure you people also feel bored of seeing the same sceneries, right? But sorry to say the inland sceneries were nothing to shout about, mostly shops, factories and houses, just killing off the km on a flat main road except for 2 gradual climbs. The campsite was 100m from the road on a steep slope down to a river , too steep to have a view of it, No worry for water as there is a tap near the road. That is the beauty of cycling and camping in countary side of Turkey.
