Hello Meng. I am friend of Heather and I read your reports every evening. I shall be looking forward, when you cycle through Germany and switzerland, I used to work there more than 40 years ago. Keep in mind, the scenery is great, but it is very expensive, unfortunately. take care and keep the photos coming. best regards Gunter

Hi Meng!

Looks like you're having a ball at your two latest stopovers.Superb pictures and i bet, apart from the scenery and beautiful weather, the culture and music is great too.More wonders to be explored along your way to your eventual destination.Be safe,ok?

Hi Meng,

Bravo on breezing thru Bulgaria without a hassle.
Why don’t you spend a little time Google searching the history of a country ahead for some internet maps whenever you upload your material. It would save your money on maps.
I believe you will be x-ing the Danube River into Calafat, Romania next and heading towards Drobeta, right. All the best to you in this country. Eager to see your next posting.

Hi meng,so Bulgaria is behind you, next Romania.Which is your trav.plan? Is it thru Hungary,Austria,Germany to France?Because another shorter option is thru Serbia,Croatia and Slovenia and than you have 2.options:
1.from Slovenia to Austria
2.to nord Italy and thru Monaco to Paris.Last one is realy great!
Whatever,have a safe journey and enjoy yourself.Brane

Following your journey.. the autumn leaves campsite was just so serene. Like Heather said, you can really spot a campsite where none (apparentlsy) exists. Upon looking back, the most unpredictable n harshest part of your journey is behind you and you'll be home soon. How do you feel? How do you come back down from a high and go back to "normal" humdrum? What other epic adventure to surpass this one? I suppose this is the furthest from your mind right now and all you can think of is curry laksa, nasi lemak rendang etc.. Take care. Pauline

Hello Meng,
Hope you are doing fine and enjoying the best of Europe, right now. Hai, you must be searching high & low for an internet cafe over there now, hope you will find one soon to update us. You have been MIA for nearly 1 week now.

Meanwhile, try to snap some pics of yourself whenever you reach a new country in Europe( with the respective countries flag, if possible ) so that when you flip open your photo albums in a couple of years time, you can still remember the country & places. When we are getting older and of course a lot wiser, the brain cells seems to forget things faster, you know what i mean, hahaha......

Enjoy and happy exploring yah....

Cheers brater.....and take care...

Hi Meng,
All your TTKs friends are right,
Take some short video clips 20 secs. - 40 secs. will be good .
Signin youtube and upload for all to see.Tag it under Beijing2Paris / Travel / Recumbent .. etc so friends can search easily.
The video clip can also be embedded to your blog too.

Take care my friend, hope the recumbent is taking good care of you.

Gunter,
How's Heather now back in Australia,no news from her or too happy now already promoted to Grand mother ,and forget her riding partner.

Thighland Meng said...

Thanks adeline , I guess very little chance for me to venture into each country's music as that involved times and money , not on this type of adventure trip.
